About Us

Venus Women’s Rights Association is a Riga-based organization dedicated to empowering women and advocating for gender equality across the globe. What began as a small community of passionate individuals has grown into a strong network committed to protecting women's rights, fighting gender-based violence, and amplifying women’s voices in every area of life.

Founded officially in 2022, our association stands for solidarity, empowerment, and transformation. We believe that every woman—regardless of her background—deserves to live free from violence, discrimination, and fear. Through educational programs, advocacy, mentorship, and international collaborations, we work to create inclusive spaces where women can thrive, connect, and lead.

Our mission is to build a world where gender does not determine one's opportunities or safety. By supporting personal growth, professional development, and collective action, we strive to challenge the norms that hold women back and to promote a future shaped by equality, justice, and shared strength.

At Venus, we don’t see ourselves as rescuers—we are allies, standing side by side with women, building a better world together.

Change Starts Now - 2024-3-LV02-KA152-YOU-000266537

Approved in the 2024 R3 round, the “Change Starts Now” project was successfully held in Riga, Latvia from April 18–25, 2025, with the active participation of youth and youth workers from Austria, Spain, Romania, Turkey, and Latvia.

Over the course of the project, participants engaged in impactful workshops, creative activities, and intercultural dialogue designed to raise awareness about violence against women, empower youth to take action, and promote gender equality.

Through their involvement, participants:

Gained key skills such as leadership, communication, and critical thinking,

Created awareness materials including social media content and local campaign ideas,

Prepared to become peer educators and advocates for gender equality in their communities.

The project fostered strong cross-cultural collaboration and youth leadership, while also promoting a more inclusive and gender-sensitive approach in youth work across all partner countries.

We are proud of the outcomes achieved and grateful to all our partners and participants for making this project a meaningful and inspiring experience. Change truly started with this amazing group — and it will continue to grow in their communities.
