Don't ignore the difficulties refugee women face!

Within the scope of An Ongoing Destruction:Refugee Women project, our participants travelled to Austria and invited local people to be sensitive to the difficulties faced by refugee women. Participants carried out informative activities in the field with the visual materials they prepared.

Refugee women face serious difficulties during conflict and forced migration processes. In addition to traumatic experiences such as war, discrimination and violence, they have difficulties in accessing shelter, access to health services, education and job opportunities in the countries they go to. They also become more vulnerable due to gender-based violence, discrimination and gender roles. Cultural barriers, language barriers and uncertainty about legal status can make it difficult for refugee women to integrate both socially and economically, leading them to live in insecurity.
